George Washington Memorial Celebration, Feb 20
     The C.A.R. has consistently participated in the George Washington Memorial Celebration held annually at the University of Washington on Presidents' Day.  The event is sponsored by the Greater Seattle DAR Regents' Council.  The C.A.R. State Society and all local C.A.R. societies participate in a wreath-laying ceremony.  Click here for information.
 

Annual State Conference, March
The C.A.R. Annual State Conference will be held Saturday, March 24th in Bremerton.  More details will be available later.  Click here for information on last year's conference.
 

Armed Forces Day Parade, May 19
 

C.A.R. members are invited to attend and march in the parade as a group. Contact SSP@WaStateCAR.org if you are interested in participating.  This 64th annual parade is one of the largest in the country.


Fourth of July Parade, Bothell

The City of Bothell (just Northeast of Seattle) hosts an Independence Day Parade from 10:00 AM to Noon. C.A.R. members are invited to attend and march in the parade as a group. Contact SSP@WaStateCAR.org if you are interested in participating.


Western Regional Meeting, July 6-7
    The 2012 Western Regional Meeting will be held in the Greater Seattle area Friday and Saturday July 6th and 7th, 2012.   This is an opportunity to meet with National Officers from around the country, learn more about C.A.R. programs, and have fun.

             Registration information is expected in March and details are generallly not available until May, 2011.  Click here for information on last year's Regional Meeting.

  


Summer Picnic Workshop
 

            The State Society sponsors a summer workshop to go over the C.A.R. program for the coming year and share what was learned at the Western Regional Meeting.  It may be hosted by a local society or held in conjunction with another local society activity.  It is typically held in August, but the exact date for 2012 has not yet been determined.
